Bromsgrove Rovers completed a league double over a hard working Marlow side at The Victoria Ground. Second half strikes from Stuart Hall and Pheon Jolly gave Steve Daniels his first win in the tendency as manager. Hall only made the starting line up after Danny Campbell pulled out injured in the warm up. Debuts were given to new signings Alex Roofe and Sam Wills both from Willenhall Town.
The Green's were given an early wake up call i8n the 5th minute after Yashwa Romeo fired wide after finding himself free on the left hand side of the area. Karl Lewis made an important save to keep the home side from falling behind after denying Alex Stewart in the 18th minute. Three minutes later Leigh Mason got around Lewis but Roofe got back to make a brilliant goal-line clearance.
Wills had Rovers best efforts on goal forcing goalkeeper Michael Watkins to make saves, turning his efforts around the post on both occasions in the 22nd and 24th minutes respectively.
Marlow had the ball in the Rovers net on 26 minutes Jon Case beat the Rovers offside trap on the right, his cross was tapped home by Stewart but the assistants flag went straight up as the big striker had strayed into an offside position.
Watkins again pulled off another fine save, this time turning Nathaniel Waite's effort past the post after good work by Jolly down the left on 33 minutes.
Kallum Blake replaced Waite at half-time and was soon in the thick of the action setting up a chance for Hall only to see the striker's close range volley well saved by Watkins at his near post in the 53rd minute. A good move up the left involving Nathaniel Caine and Jolly fashioned up another chance for Hall but again Watkins denied the striker with a diving save low to his right on 63 minutes.
Bromsgrove took the lead in the 66th minute, Substitute Craig Gasiewski's free-kick was partially cleared, Gasiewski put the ball back into the danger area and Hall pounced at the far post to sweep home past Watkins.
Lewis again came up with another save to keep Rovers lead intact in the 68th minute denying Jermaine Roche saving with his legs. In the 77th minute Lewis took an awkward ball as it bobbled up in front of him from Johnny Isaac's effort. Three minutes from time Roche headed into the side netting from a good position after Rovers failed to clear Case's corner.
In the 90th minute Jolly picked up the ball on the halfway line and raced up the left wing cutting inside past Johnny Gray and Tom Willment before stroking the ball past Watkins to seal all three points for Rovers.
