Battling Bromsgrove Rovers lost 3 - 2 at Holloways Park, Beaconsfield against Slough Town in this re-arranged League clash despite twice being in front with first -half goals from Omar Spence and a Danny Scheppel penalty, but were pegged back twice by the Rebels. Slough scored what turned out the winner early in the second-half, but Rovers , who deserved a point at least missed a penalty, Scheppel failing from the spot and also finished a man light after Paul Lloyd saw Red after picking up his second booking midway through the half. Rovers had the best of starts after just 66 seconds took the lead when Spence guided Cameron Jones's right wing cross past Ricky Perks out-stretched hand and went in off the post. Four minutes later the scores were level after Danny Jordan headed home a Paul Edgeworth left wing cross. Bromsgrove re-established their advantage from the penalty spot in the 29th minute after Substitute Gary Ray was up-ended in the area by Chris Herron, Scheppel stepped up to coolly send Perks the wrong way to score, The lead lasted until the second minute of injury time in the first half when Simon Martin ghosted in to head past Karl Lewis from close range. The Rebels took the lead for the first time in the match in the 55th minute, Herron fired in from the left hand side of the area Lewis at full stretch could only parry away but Steve Sinclair hooked the ball home from an acute angle. Rovers’ hopes were dealt a blow in the 66th minute after Lloyd picked up two quick bookings to see Red and leave Rovers with a mountain to climb. Rovers were gifted a chance to equalise three minutes later when Referee Mr Kyle Kirkbride awarded a penalty to Rovers after penalising Dean Harper for a harsh handball in the area. Scheppel stepped up again but this time went for power and sent the ball high over the bar. Perks denied Spence with a finger tip save in a one-on-one situation in the 73ed minute In the 82nd minute Slough's Tyron Sealey capitalised on a defensive mistake by Rovers but screwed his effort horribly wide from in front of goal. Rovers ten men continued to press forward to grab an equalised but just could not find the elusive goal.
