Omar Spence produced a delightful strike from the edge of the area to spare Bromsgrove's blushes and quieten a boisterous home crowd with a 92nd minute equaliser at The Miner's Welfare Oval. Not a good performance but even after falling behind Rovers carried on attacking without looking like scoring until Spence's opportunist strike.
Manager John Snape was forced to make changes from Saturday’s line-up with Jemiah Richards unavailable due to work; Rapinder Gill was given his full début. Kevin Banner's 23rd minute in swinging corner was punched clear by goalkeeper Andy Kemp under pressure from Josh McKenzie.
Bedworth's Ashley Robinson had an effort on goal after 25 minutes but never troubled goalkeeper Karl Lewis. Four minutes later Richard Allen forced Lewis into a save before lifting the rebound high over the crossbar from close range.
On the half hour McKenzie's half chance went past the post from Cameron Jones through ball. Sam Shilton beat the offside trap down the left in the 36th minute, his cross found Robinson but his effort was charged down by Matt Gardiner. Bedworth's Allen found his way into the referee's notebook two minutes from the interval after a dreadful lunge at Marlon Walters.
Bedworth took the lead in the 53rd minute when Matty Blair's right wing cross was met by Jason Moore at the far post and he planted a firm header past Lewis into the corner of the net.
Snapper responded by replacing the front two, McKenzie and Dexter Ravenhill with Spence and Danny Campbell after 57 minutes.
Robinson saw his weak shot easily saved by Lewis after 70 minutes. Ten minutes from time Bedworth substitute Danny Edmonds fired across Lewis only to see his effort beat the far post.
Then came the Gobsmacker as Spence cut in from the right and from the edge of the area drilled the ball low and hard just inside Kemp's left hand post leaving Kemp flat footed to keep Rovers unbeaten start going.
