Default Frank

I appreciate that not everyone will know Frank Sidebottom but in my world he was a comedy and musical genius. From Manchester - (real name Chris Sievey - I think!) Frank was the comedy cabaret act with the big papier-mache head.

Rarely seen out of character there was a lot of debate at one point about who he really was. He used to play gigs with a casio keyboard where he would play pop 'classics' with a Timperley edge to it...Born in Timperley, Frank Gordon, Hit the North as well as some of his own classics; Guess Who's Been On Match Of The Day, The Robins are Bobbins, etc.

I saw him play live on a few occasions (including once in Kidderminster) and he could make you cry with laughter without a single swear word or a single 'blue' joke (not that I'm averse to either). He will be greatly missed.

Frank Sidebottom RIP
